Garlic Dip

A creamy Greek yoghurt dip topped with sizzling garlic-chili oil. The hot olive oil is poured over a mix of garlic, chili flakes, parsley, and smoked paprika, creating an aromatic topping. Served over lemon zested yoghurt, it's perfect with bread, pita chips, or veggies.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes adjust to taste
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup Greek yoghurt
- zest of 1 lemon
- salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Method
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat to approximately 150°C (300°F).
- Place minced garlic, chilli flakes, parsley and smoked paprika in a heat-proof glass bowl or jug.
- Carefully pour the olive oil over the garlic mixture. It may splatter, so be careful.
- Prepare the yoghurt base
- In a bowl, combine Greek yoghurt with lemon zest, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Assemble and serve
- Spread the yoghurt mixture onto a serving plate.
- Drizzle the sizzling garlic oil over the yoghurt.
- Serve immediately with pita chips, fresh vegetables or crusty bread.
