Ingredients
- 250 g 00 flour
- 150 g water
- 10 g olive oil plus extra for drizzling
- 1 can roma tomatoes
- Fresh basil and oregano if wanted
- Salt if wanted
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and a pinch of salt. Add the water and olive oil, then mix until a rough dough forms. Knead gently for a few minutes until smooth. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, season the tomatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, fresh basil. Blitz to combine.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions. On a floured surface, roll each piece out as thinly as possible.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto baking trays. Spread a thin layer of the pizza sauce over each. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for 15–20 minutes, watching closely, thinner dough cooks faster.
- For extra crisp and flavor, drizzle with a touch more olive oil in the final 5 minutes of baking. Serve hot or warm.
